So when Jess asked if there was any interest in doing a photography project that she assigned, I said sure! The project was extremely open-ended: Ground Level Hmmm. I was really stumped about what I wanted to capture. Ground level. Hmmm. I pondered it but nothing was coming to me. Then a couple days ago I was walking with Skylar and came across broken glass Very Ground Level in the most literal interpretation The sun was reflecting from the glass and it was shimmering and sparkling and I had a teaching moment explaining about glass: it’s sharp, we don’t touch it, why it was broken and fragments were on the grass, what crime is, why someone would break another person’s car windows....

To me, they are the epitome of spring brunches, bridal and baby showers, and special occasion or holiday family meals taking place anytime before 1pm, but is that just a Minnesota thing? After I get on the road, provided the Border Control Checkpoints aren’t backed up and Immigration leaves us alone, we should be able to keep up triple digit speeds across the desert and make it home in less than 6 hours. I am hoping for 5 hours and change depending on how many Potty Stops with our Pink Princess Potty in hand that we have to make. It is so hot here, too....
