A couple evenings ago when it wasn’t raining, we walked over to the Radisson Hotel for their 2-for-1 Happy Hour at their beach bar. Scott and I got a pair of Sex on the Beaches for $12 bucks. Not super cheap, but better than $24! Good, but not the best drink ever. That’s what happens when they use well liquor, i.e. the cheap crap. On our way out, Skylar wanted to check out the parrots and birdsthey have on the property Remember when we went out for drinksthe other night last week? Well, drinking out is expensive. A round of drinks for Scott and I with tax and tip is nearly 20 bucks (or more!) per round. 10 bucks a drink. And although I am a lightweight in the boozehound department these days, I am cheap not made of money. So I decided to get smart and buy some vodka and peach schnapps so I could make my own Sex on the Beachdrinks There are a million recipes on the internet for how to make shots, Sex on the Beach shot and drinks, and other drinks. In an effort to not spend a small fortune on extracts, juices, and specialty liquors, etc. I kept this recipe basic since whatever we don’t use in the next 2 weeks is being thrown out, sadly. [print_this] Sex on the Beach Shots 2 oz Vodka 1.5 oz Peach Schnapps 4 oz Fruit Punch (or 2 oz of Orange Juice, 2 oz of Cranberry) Add ice cubes and shake to blend Yields 2 healthy sized shots [/print_this] You can use a fancy stainless steel drink mixer/strainer setup of you have one. But most of us have a coffee or water reusable bottle. Just use your coffee-go-cup and open the nozzle and pour our the shots into two glasses. Feeling like you want more shots in your life?
