Next, I was recognized by a reader (Jenny) while sitting in the Aruba airport at our gate. A young woman came up to me and asked me if I was Averie and I said yes, and she told me she reads my blog and recognized me! She said she’s been on the island of Bonaire Scuba diving for 10 days and is headed home today, too. Imagine that, I was recognized internationally. It’s happened a couple times in San Diego (here and here), but never in a million years would I have thought it would happen anywhere else. Including Aruba, but it was really cool. If you’re reading, thanks for saying hi, Jenny! And we should have snapped a picture together! Here’s Skylar chilling on the flight. And that’s fake sleeping, not really sleeping I am glad you enjoyed my Aruba Vacation Highlights Post from earlier today. Thanks for telling me whether you feel like the month of December went by fast or not. Most of you said you could hardly believe we were gone for 3+ weeks. I feel the same! The trip went by really fast! I wish I had the foresight and ambition to have made some Vegan Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Protein Bars because they only take 10 minutes to whip up. But I didn’t. So airplane peanuts and storebought bars have sufficed. Questions 1. Have you ever blogged from an airplane or an airport? Or checked email, turned on your laptop, etc? Any tips? Up until the day I blogged from the Salt Lake City airport on our way here, I never had blogged from an airport. And this post marks the first inflight post. It’s not the easiest thing, but hey, it’s do-able. But if you have any tips, let me know! Just getting the laptop out is a pain to me…haha! 2. What’s your favorite thing to do on flights? Mine would be sleeping! But… Unfortunately, I don’t sleep on an airplane. Call me paranoid but I cannot sleep knowing I have thousands of dollars of precious cargo in the overhead bin. Like my purse, electronics, and my Macbook (when I’m not using it to write this post) And this Precious Cargo is on the seat next to me….
