I got a text a few weeks ago from Ang with a photo of her sandwich – like friends do – which was layers of roast beef, arugula, havarti, and horseradish aioli on the caramelized onion focaccia from Trader Joe’s. I spent at least 10 minutes just zoomed in on the photo, examining every saucy detail....

Summer has summer-ed and the outside shouldn’t hog all the heat for itself, let the sauce have some! Easy Sheet Pan Salmon and Broccoli In a word, this Asian baked salmon heavenly. It far exceeds any piece of salmon you’d get in a fancy restaurant and only uses seven ingredients. The Asian-style salmon is tender, moist, not overcooked in the least (my pet peeve is overcooked fish and restaurants are notorious for this), and the broccoli remains perfectly crisp-tender and so juicy from the sauce. The broccoli florets are the perfect little sponges to absorb runoff sauce that falls from the salmon, which is why I strategically used broccoli and then positioned it directly next to the salmon....
Friends, meet Six Ingredient Sausage Potato Pie. This beauty is sort of like an egg bake in the most delicious of all the ways, except 1) no bread, 2) no soaking overnight, 3) no cheese. rolls on ground laughing oh my gosh, that would be sooo funny. But this is also like a pie because when you bake things in circle pans, even without a crust, then you can call them pie and life is more fun....
I really mean business with this Thanksgiving stuff now. Beyond any shadow of a doubt, stuffing is my absolute all time favorite of the Thanksgiving foods. Turkey and mashed potatoes are good, but it’s not really Thanksgiving to me without the cozy herbed bread cubes baked into that crispy, dense texture that only stuffing can have. And even though stuffing works any time of year and it’s one of my favorite foods evvv-errr, somehow Thanksgiving is really the only time of year that feels appropriate to eat this carby goodness....

Chocolate Brownie Pie with Marshmallows No campfire handy? No desire to ever sit around a campfire? I totally understand. Make indoor smores instead. Plus I have no patience to roast my marshmallows evenly and dip them directly into the fire....
You’ll notice I use shortening instead of butter in my sugar cookies, and that is because I’ve tested them both ways and found that shortening yields a much softer cookie, that doesn’t get hard after cooling and storing. The BEST Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies If there’s something better than chocolate cookies topped with cream cheese frosting and chocolate sprinkles, I want to know about it. These double chocolate chip cookies are slightly chewy around the edges with super soft with tender, pillowy centers. There’s plenty of chocolate chips in every bite. The dough base is adapted from my Frosted Holiday Sprinkles Cookies. It’s one of my favorite bases and I chocolate-ified it....
Easy Spicy Basil Chicken Recipe This recipe is a spinoff of my Better-Than-Takeout Sticky Chicken. I love that chicken so much and decided to make a basil-infused version. The chicken is ridiculously tender and loaded with authentic Asian flavors that keep you going back for one more juicy bite. Grandma’s Sweet Cherry Bread My grandma used to make the best cherry bread. I’d give anything to watch her make it again and write down what she did. But since that will never happen, I had about 17 emails up and back dialoguing with my mom about how she thought Grandma made it.
