Instant Pot Tuscan Chicken Pasta

I’ve found myself using my Instant Pot more than ever in the past few weeks. Learn how to get the most out of your instant pot! I especially love it for meals where you can throw all of the raw ingredients together, push one button, and BAM, it’s ready in 15 minutes–Like these chicken taco bowls, or instant pot spaghetti. The key is to cook everything well, without ending up with undercooked or overcooked noodles, or chicken....

Juggling

I was able to juggle up a good plate of greenery, though. I made a dressing use 1/4 c mashed avocado + 1/4 c Vegan Slaw Dressing I could have just drank the dressing. It was so good. And it made use of my 67 cent each avocado stash. Nut pates are great for when the weather warms up and I can’t be bothered with turning on my oven to make tofu or roast chickpeas or juggle anything else....

Juice Please

Yesterday I mentioned my latest purchase, a shaker cup to whip up my Jay BRPP. Love it so far! Protein and water, with the wisk ball go in… 15 seconds of shaking and BRPP is perfectly mixed. It’s the simple things. And then I whipped up some Raw Vegan Freezer Brownies. I have made them alot lately, here’s one of the links. Today’s blend was: *Scant 1 c dates *Heaping 1/2 c walnuts *Heaping 1/2 c cocao powder *1/2 agave *2 tbsp vanilla Blend in Vita-mix and scoop out, put in freezer....

If so, pull up that thar chair and lemme explain what this post is all about. Many moons ago Lindsay and I decide to do an experiment. In a moment of (un)inspired brainstorming we decided to call it “The Food Blog Money Making Experiment....

Just A Check In Plus Tomato Soup And Grilled Cheese

Most of us are (I hope!) probably doing some version of shelter-in-place as we attempt to ride out the waves of the Covid-19 pandemic. Most of us are probably feeling the hourly alternating emotions of “I can do this” and “I don’t think I can do this.” We are working on some new things for the weeks ahead, and I am anxious to get those things into the world for you....

Kitchen Sink Sunflower Salad Recipe

comment icon 71 more comments This month our theme was salads, and HOLY HEAVEN we got a lot of yummy salad submissions. I have never felt so much love towards vegetables in all my life. But not just vegetables – noodles, quinoa, chicken, fruit – every type of salad was well-represented. We sorted them, and drooled over them, and eventually settled on the one that intrigued us all: The Kitchen Sink Sunflower Salad, submitted by Misha....

Lots Of Mailbox Finds Hemp And Dating Disasaters

Thanks for all the great compliments on my No Bake Vegan Rum Cake Balls! Making them was a labor of love filled with drunken cake eating memories in the Caymans with fond memories of a Grand Cayman trip, and I regaled you with my Caribbean Rum Cake Story with Scott that was my inspiration for the recipe. I loved hearing about if you think Foods have Medicinal Properties and also your comfort level with public speaking....

Mint Brownies Recipe Tastes Better From Scratch

I love to bake, but I usually bake with the end goal of giving most of the sweets away. I think it helps me feel better about making them :-). I made these homemade Mint brownies with the full intention of giving a plate full to a friend who recently moved. And then I cut them, took pictures of them, and took a bite of one of them. My poor friend never stood a chance!...

My Exercise Path In Aruba Lots Of Island Pictures

First on my path, neighborhood cats. There are lots. And lots of stray dogs. The animals are very friendly. But the locals don’t “get their pets spayed or neutered” like Bob Barker told us to do. About 1/2 mile from my house, I pass the Hard Rock Sidewalk in front of the Hard Rock And in front of Senor Frogs where we went for Sex on the Beach Then I pass the Radisson and Westin....

Nutella Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk Cookies

I’ve made quite a few chocolate-peanut butter cookies in my day. But had yet to bake Nutella into cookies until now. What was I waiting for. They turned out moist, soft, chewy, and are some of the fudgiest, richest, and most intensely chocolaty cookies I’ve ever had. The Nutella is the star of the show, and trumps the peanut butter flavor, which is more subtle. I got the inspiration from my Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk Cookies....

One Pan Lemon Chicken And Potatoes

One-Pan Chicken Breasts and Potatoes This easy and family-friendly recipe is ready in 30 minutes and you only need one pan, which is such a timesaver on busy weeknights now that school is back in session or when you’re cooking for an event! The lemony butter infuses the chicken and potatoes and gives plenty of bright flavor and richness without being overpowering. The juices at the bottom of the pan are where the flavor is really concentrated and I could have literally rolled every potato and bite of chicken, forkful-by-forkful, into that liquid gold....

Outback Steakhouse Wheat Bread Copycat Recipe

Not for the steak because I haven’t had steak in over twenty years, but because I love their bread. I could pound down one of the loaves they’d set on the table while waiting for my entree and by the time my food came out, I actually wasn’t hungry for it. I washed the bread down with Wallaby Darneds, frosty and slushy-style peach bellinis made with peaches, champagne, vodka, and peach schnapps, with extra floater shots on top, too....

Peanut Butter Pie Shooters Recipe

comment icon 103 more comments My heart and soul are melting down the page. See how I did that? That was me melting into an ocean of peanut butter pie filling. I know a lot of people don’t love showers, of the gifting variety, but I love babies and I love baby showers. All 3 that I’ve ever been to, anyways. My best friend is having a baby (squee!) so this weekend we threw a little baby shindig for her soon-to-be newborn baby boy....

Peanut Butter Swirled Fudgy Brownies

But I doubt you’re complaining. I’m on vacation and make things that I know will turn out and that we like. This isn’t the time I want to experiment. And I’ll never say no to peanut butter and chocolate, especially by way of dense, fudgy, rich, one-bowl brownies. I have three main brownie base recipes on my site, that all others are derived from. They’re each one-bowl, no-mixer recipes, that you can make in less than 5 minutes....

Pecan Pie Recipe Tastes Better From Scratch

My grandmother was an excellent pie maker and pecan pie will always remind me of her. Don’t miss my other traditional pie recipes including Pumpkin Pie, Apple Pie, and Lemon meringue pie. I was tasked to make Pecan Pie each year for Thanksgiving from a very young age, because it was so easy to make that my mom could trust I wouldn’t mess it up! I never truly appreciated its magic until I was an adult, and my “taste buds matured”, as my mom would say!...

Pink Lemonade Freezer Bars

These salty-and sweet bars are your saving grace. The bars combine sweet with tart, smooth with crumbly, salty with sweet. And you can knock them out in 15 minutes flat. The best part of these freezer bars, in addition to being pink, is the use of one of my favorite ingredients, COOL WHIP Whipped Topping. Copious amount of COOL WHIP in the freezer for a rainy day was totally normal in my household growing up....

Don’t miss my other favorite slow cooker, or 30-minute meals I can throw together easily on a busy weeknight. I love making International cuisine from home and Carnitas (Spanish for “little meats”) is one of the tastiest and easiest additions to our taco night! Power Smoothie Recipe Tastes Better From Scratch

One of the best things about Freshman year of college is the meal plan–do you know what I’m talking about? The special meal plan that students can get that gives you access to the university cafeterias and food courts. Well, I’d pretty much save all of my meal plan money for smoothies. It didn’t matter if it was a blizzard outside–I would always crave a thick, cold smoothie! Plus I could bring them to class with me, which made me feel extra cool 😉 ....
